Arnold Schwarzenegger is universally known as a bodybuilding champion, Hollywood actor, and more recently, he was the governor of California. Long before the latter part of his career took shape, he was a near-permanent gym occupant focused on packing on as much muscle and strength as possible. It was during this time that Schwarzenegger wrote this book illustrating details of the ins-and-outs of the fitness world.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-American citizen who gained worldwide notoriety when he became a successful film star and weight-lifting icon to men everywhere. If you want to get technical, Arnold Schwarzenegger is THE name in bodybuilding. Early on his friends nicknamed him “The Austrian Oak or Styrian Oak”. As his career path shifted he also became known as “Arnold Strong” or simply Arnie by the colleague in the acting world. In more recent times he has been known as “The Governator”; a name that was derived from the combination of the words governor and terminator (from the Terminator movies).
Later he would be elected the Republican governor by the voters who the took part a special election that was held to replace California’s then-Governor, Gray Davis. He was hereby sworn in as governor on November 17, 2003, and he would serve out the rest of Davis’s term. Later he was re-elected in 2006, defeating the Democrat nominee named Phil Angelides. During this time Angelides was California’s State Treasurer. Schwarzenegger e took office for a second term on January 5th of 2007. In his private life Schwarzenegger was married to Maria Shriver and together they have brought four children into the world.

Arnold’s education of a bodybuilder is highly intuitive, and his credibility can be seen in his five Mr. Universe titles, seven Mr. Olympias, and one Mr. World. This book has many excellent features including detailed accounts of what he eats on a daily basis in order to help guide the reader into making better lifestyle choices. When trying to lose weight and/or gain muscle, you must first start with what you eat. Arnolds personalized diet hints have been extremely useful to those looking to use bodybuilding to achieve better health.

This classic best-selling autobiography serves as not only a guide to gaining a better body but as an interesting, informative and historical account of how Arnold first became interested in bodybuilding. It also illustrates how he came to be the giant success that he is today. This book was first released in the 1970’s long before he gained the success he has today; even before Conan.
